cancel halifax insurance can it be done

i have tmmp with halifax aprox£21 pm
and two loans repayment cover both adding to £38 pm

my question is it possibble to cancel these and set up a life assurance (which would give a great deal moreon death for half the price (£10) of the tmmp and get mpp with ant insurance (12.50) which covers all major bills not just the loans and mortgage

i would save aprox28 pm and would be able to use this to add to my mortgage payment and shorten the term

i am just a bit worried that halifax wont allow this as anybody done iot before
the loans are secured
and the mortgage is fixed until jan 30 2008

You can cel the tmpp, no probs. Its the secured loan that is the problem. The insurance is part of the loan, so you';d have to apply for a new loan without it. But seeing as they don't do these separate loans anymore, they may do it differently for you

remember the repayments cover on the secured loan did not only cover life cover, but accident , sickness, unemployment too
