looking at setting up as a sole trader for ebay and was wondering if any recomendations for (accounting??)software to record everything, cost, sales, profit, fees etc
ive got excell so may create one but was looking for other options

A very simple spread sheet will work this out for you on a product by produce basis. Basically selling price minus cost of sales = margin! Don't forget all the %'s that ebay and Paypal, etc take as part of cost of sales. I would also use excel to work out month by month/product by product cash flow. If you fancy accounts package then MYOB and Quickbooks are fine, but I'd wait 'til, I knew my sales volumes and turnover were worth the cost/effort. There are also a few ebay management packages around, but I've never used them as jusr a casual seller.0
