advice on improving credit ratings

Thanks for all the advice given on this thread!:). I did go to the bank and asked the personal banker there about getting a credit card and was applied for a 'barclaycard platinum' card. The limit at the moment is £260, which is reviewed after 6 months. And I will definitely be paying the statement each month to avoid interest which I hope will improve my credit score.
I also successfully applied for three's £15pm sim only deal (i was surprised when that happened) . They did perform a credit check before serving me, so I assume it improves the score when payed. So thank-you once again!0 -
At least you were clever enough to come here and ask some questions before any further applications, I didn't have a clue about credit score and applied for 9 credit cards in one evening
Any way, good luck!0
