M&S Travellers Cheques...

Hi guys, just a quick bit of advice I'm after.

I have previously had the M&S card, did the £4000 Travellers Cheques, paid them into my account and had the cash a few days later. I have since paid of said card, didn't miss any payments and have now (about 4 months ago) cancelled the card.

So, can I apply for the same card again and hopefully get the same deal.

TIA Paul.

Yes, but not for another 8 months.

Click the apply button and you'll see...
A new M&S Credit Card account cannot be opened if you have held a credit card with M&S Money within the previous 12 months.

Although I've no personal experience, I understand Tesco may have a similar scheme running with their card (but be sure to pick the right card now they're doing two of them!).

Maybe you could investigate and post back?

EDIT: Just checked myself and Tesco do indeed run this scheme, ie 0% for 16 months, but with 2 distinct differences:

    1) The Sterling TC fee is 1.25%

    2) The amount you can get is governed by your 'cash limit'. Now this always used to be around 50% of your credit limit with RBSG cards...who used to underwrite Tesco's cards prior to TPF coming 100% under Tesco themselves. If this is still the case it'll severely impact the profitability of the stooz for a given credit limit, meaning you'll have to slow-stooz the rest on standard purchases.

All details are on their website.
