flying 1st time have a bit of nasal congestion.

Hi,
I will be flying for the 1st time next week. (Glup)

I have some nasel congestion ,what would be best to use a decongestant tablet or a saline nasal spray.

I will also be taking sea legs travel sickness tablet, as a precaution. Lol

thank you

Why do you think you'll be congested anyway? Sorry if I'm missing something.
Good luck :) I use sturgeon (however you spell it) travel sickness tablets, I apologise if I have just used the word for the fish instead rofl

Well, as the OP has congestion now, there is a possibility that they may still have it when flying next week.
Even if it's just about cleared up, the dehumidified cabin air certainly won't help as this will dry their sinuses up even more.

Personally I would suggest the decongestant tablets but take the saline spray with you as this can be used for a quick fix if you get blocked up during the flight.

Don't forget that the reduced pressure and dry air in the cabin can make a difference as how some tablets affect you so be careful with how many you take.

i have nasal polyps and so have constant congestion and tbh i'v e never had a problem with it.

rather than tablets, try the sea bands - think you can get them in boots or something similar, you wear them on you wrists and they work on accupressure points, but you must put them on in plenty of time before your flight. i normally put mine on for any journey as soon as i am washed etc.

man up, ditch the pills, and face unrelenting pressure on your brain like a real hero!

Top tip: dont go scuba diving the day before your flight, ear barotrauma on a plane is very not fun!

I think you should probably cancel your trip in case your head explodes mid-flight!
