    Good morning folks:j,

I'm going out today, so it may not be an NSD, unless I get Mrs Red to pay:p. Although I did get some vouchers for my Birthday that I may use;).
Kerri, I hope the clothes survived the red wine and OH was suitably chastised:).
LMH, thanks for the offer about painting, but am going to have to pass, as it takes all my willpower to paint my own house:mad:. Good luck for the exam and hope it goes well.
Having got a Kindle for my Birthday, I discovered yesterday that you can download free books and am very impressed:beer:.
I'm off to catch up on the rest of the posts. Hope everyone has a good day:)

Thanks Red, yes thanks to some soaking, chucking a bit of white wine on my top, a portable stain remover pen thing and some more soaking when I got home, t-shirt was rescued. OH tried to tell the others about a laundry accident when I dyed one of his football tops blue, which they all found hilarious ...until I said 'yes, but that wasn't me, it was actually OH too' :rotfl:

Not sure what today will hold, soooo much to do but have really lost my mojo for anything atm - not quite sure what the matter is :(

quote, Modesty - well done for NSD 1 :j:j:j bargain tents, what do the dogs do in them though?! :o unquote.

They fight usually! :rotfl:They also lie in there chewing whatever they can get their paws on. It's so funny to see them playing in them.

I walked around A$da with DD today for over an hour and came out without buying anything. So that's NSD 2 for me. :D

    Welcome to all our newbies.

Frodo, I'm really happy for you getting your puppy. :j

Hugs to all who need one.

WooHoo - its persisting down here so its NSD 3 for me today! Litlemiss you were spot on about a hairdo being worth losing an NSD - ended up being invited to the local yacht club (proper sailors not luvvies) to watch the Jubilee Concert. It was really great, everyone brought food (very MSE) and the plus was that we could see lots of firework displays from along the coast. Shame about poor Prince Phil though after all he has supported for 60 years too - hope he's better soon.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Happy Jubilicious June, everyone! Have been away for a few days visiting family but am back now, ready to focus on moneysaving again. On annual leave this week with plans to sort out garden a bit and hopefully do some more academic stuff if I can find the motivation! DS has grown out of pyjamas and slippers so will have to get him kitted out again (either that or chop his legs and feet off...).
Meal plans a work in progress at present, a trip to A£di planned for tomorrow, so if I get some meat and fish bargains there I will finalise the plan and get it printed out and stuck up in the kitchen. That way we get all the moans and complaints over in one fell swoop rather than every day "What's for dinner?" "Oh nooooooo....!"

Actually, I think OH and DS are getting the message that food costs money and you cannot always send out for a takeaway. And OH is trying to lose weight so is more amenable to having more veggies on his plate than anything else.

Right, must update my signature because I am off to a flying start with 2 NSDs out of 12 for June!!!!

    Onwards and upwards gang!

    Afternoon folks,

Went shopping today and got some trousers in the sale at a big store. Used my Birthday money my parents gave me to buy for them though. Also went to an Indian restaurant at lunchtime and used vouchers we'd been given as a xmas pressie, so am declaring NSD2 for today please:beer:
Kerri, I hope you rediscover your mojo soon, although I haven't heard you mention using the coupons in a few days and you really are the coupon queen:D. Hope you're feeling back to normal soon:)

    NSD 1 yesterday.
Spent money today, was going to buy food after work tomorrow, but thought I would do it today as I had to buy other stuff. Got loads of reduced salad and fruit, think tescos overstocked for the jubliee.
Hopefully, I have no need to buy anything until Saturday (fingers crossed)

bottleof red - loving the kindle, I have one it is great, my friend got one of the new ones the other week and at a party we were talking for far too long about kindles! enjoy.
He mentioned that they no longer come with a mains adapter to charge them. If you have a smart phone then they will use the same cable to charge from.
