magistrates court fine with a warrant of distress= yes forced entry can be used
    read the link
    http://www.bailiffadviceonline.co.uk/magistrates_canthebailiff.htm

    use the following rules
    civil debt-- peaceful entry
magistrates court fine-- forced entry can be used
forced entry is very rarely used tho
Anyways two things to consider, 1, where you married, are you still married, were you just partners?
this is important as if you are still married then he still has assets at your home until your judgement of divorce divides the assets.
if he was just a partner then as long as you have recipts and bank statements proving the goods are yours, nothing to worry about.
if i were you i would be in contact with the bailiff company trying to help them find him, seen as its his fine/debt not yours.
send them a copy of your council tax bill with single occupancy discount on it, make sure you write a covering letter stating this fact.
if you know where he is, tell them, if you dont, say so to them
  • We were and still are married, basically I was waiting the 2 years to get a quick divorce (finance reason really)
The bailiff came 22nd may this is when the initial incident happened he said i had till friday, but have heard nothing since, should I be worried? is it over? i hate sitting here with the curtains drawn.
    Thanks again for all replies
