I HAVE read all posts and I did click on your link, but when I telephoned them they said it would be very difficult if almost impossible to statue bar. Will follow link again and look for standard SB letter.0 -
Just read the SB letter and I dont think I can use this as I have communicated via letters asking them for a breakdown and to provide further information within the 6 years that it states. I sent a letter to phoenix they could not provide further information so they said they were taking it no further. Then they obviously sold it onto Fredrickson, who again I said I need a breakdown as to what this amount is for etc. etc. they just sent as stated before a sheet of paper with invoice dates and amounts no breakdown.
Think I will send back a further letter staying that the information they have sent me gives me no breakdown of monies owed and how they reached said amount and that I would like to see a copy of the original contract and until such like I will be ignoring all further communication and that if they take it to court I will be strongly defending it.0 -
who on earth have you been talking to? writing a letter disputing the debt does not count as acknowledgementThink I will send back a further letter staying that the information they have sent me gives me no breakdown of monies owed and how they reached said amount and that I would like to see a copy of the original contract and until such like I will be ignoring all further communication and that if they take it to court I will be strongly defending it.
you would do that always anyway. just a question of whether you bring the statute barred issue into it as well0 -

Thats great, it was the person at national debt helpline that gave me that info. I will pull off a copy of the SB letter and adjust it.
I was thinking the that if they had a genuine chance of claming the amount that they are statin, they would have dragged him throught the courts by now.
Thanks again, Im not a silly person, I'm just not savvy with what are my rights etc. are.0
