    I still think something secondhand and decent is the way to go...

    What about a gocycle? Much better than a brompton, and qualifies for cycle to work scheme.

    Mind you, you can get an electric Brompton now, I wonder which would be better? Old school Bromy have been around since my mum was a teenager, but the gocycle is way cool.

    The Dahon is more sturdy than some others. But I would go for an electric bike now tech has progressed so much. Batteries and electric motors are lighter and much better than years ago.
