Has anyone heard of this/know where I can get it?

My boyfriend is in Afghanistan and has been ill quite a few times already with vomiting/diarrhoea etc. The medic has suggested he use an anti bacterial washing powder.

He has asked me to get him some of this but I have looked in the supermarkets and had a google and can't seem to find anything.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Really appreciate any advice anyone might have!!

Many thanks

I know there are some brands designed for hospitals etc on eBay but these tend to be very pricey. There is an anti bacterial vanish powder now, perhaps he could add this to his normal washing powder or liquid? Xx

I don't understand how washing his clothes with anti-bac washing powder will solve his vomiting/diarrohea symptoms!

I'm not sure how it will help either, but he has been in the Medic's tent for days and I asked if there is anything I can do to help him stop being ill and he said the Medic suggested using this to prevent the spread of infections

Maybe he's wrong but I'll do anything to stop him being so ill

Maybe the medic is wrong but I'll do anything to stop him being so ill, and I also imagine the medic has quite a lot of experience with d&v etc.

Are you sure he doesn't mean the anti-bacterial hand wash gel you can buy in Superdrug etc

    ETA:

    Antibacterial Hand Gels

Hand gels have become increasingly important in recent years. A convenient way to maintain hygiene day by day, it’s also played an important role in hospitals where the effective control of bugs is vital.

The Carex Antibacterial Hand Gels formulation is based on the gels used in hospitals to ensure they quickly and effectively prevent the spread of any germs, even superbugs, killing 99.9% of bacteria.

Actually, the biggest help in avoiding D&V is by washing hands thoroughly with plain soap and water, antibacterial hand gels aren't advocated either unless you have been dealing with someone who is known infective, these are the national standards in the EPIC infection control guidelines that all NHS Trusts abide by, as a nurse, I have no idea about what patient's bedding is washed in in hospitals!, but as far as our uniforms are concerned, we need to wash them with normal soap powder on a very hot 100 degree wash, that's all
