in Credit cards
hi everyone, just thought id share this with everyone just incase because im sure im not the only one this has happened to.
i normally use the internet to pay my cc's or whatever else i need to do banking wise, but when i have had to ring up on two occasions to two different card companies, i have been offered payment protection insurance, and these people have been rather forceful with it.
each time i told them quite clearly NO! and have had to say it numerous times during the conversation as they dont give up easily, nevertheless i refuse it.
well each time this has happened i have actually looked at my statements to see that i have indeed been paying this ppi against my wishes! on the capitalone card i picked up on this in the first instance, but didnt notice this on mbna statement for 3 months.
and when you ring up to actually tell them that you did not authorise this they treat you like a liar and of course try and get you to take another product!!
so everyone just take a look at your statements to check what they are charging you for, make sure you are not paying for something you did not request. it would be interesting to see has this happened to any one else.
