now i have googled vinci park dundee ltd and this is a hospital car park in youve guessed dundee, now im from hampshire and can 100% guarentee i have not taken my car to this place, as for the location eastblock im at a loss??
can anyone advise what to do please, i have read quite a few threads which say ignore, im not worried as such just agrivated really, vinci park dundee ltd, eastblock? never heard of it, never been there, nor has anyone else who has driven my car!!
should i ask them for photographic evedence?? original document?? as i have never even had any such notice put on my car EVER.
they state i was the registered owner at the time 10/04/12 what does worry me is that they dont state the car driven just the reg which is mine and is a personal plate which i have had for 6 months and is all legal, so im at a loss as to where this place is? and best way to go about dealing with these muppets.
although most threads say ignore i just wanted to make everyone aware of my situation as all are diifferent.
thanks

Roxburghe are toothless minimum-wage drones who have no more powers than you or I, and won't take any notice of anything you send them.
Best bet is just to ignore all their rubbish letters.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
It's no different, really. Maybe the drone that they send round issuing the tickets is innumerate as well as illiterate. The only certainty is that if you hear from Roxburghe you can laugh out loud.
But if you feel there's a chance your number plate's been cloned, then maybe you should check on it. The next demand might be a legit one, that is from Police, or a Council.
Usually they do have a photo; so maybe ask them to check. Don't put a stamp on the envelope, though. Let the scroungers pay the postage.0 -
I'd suggest ignoring them. Any response you give them is just going to convince them that you're a "live 'un" and to send you more rubbish. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0

True, but it isn't Roxburghe I'd be worried about. If it is a case of someone using the number, then it won't be so easy to dodge official demands.
If it was me I would check to make certain it wasn't a !!!!-up by the parking drone.0 -

Yes, under these most exceptional of circumstances, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
And, of course, having sent them a request for such important information, an appeal rejection letter and all the usual other ones would be perfect evidence for sueing them under the terms of The Protection from Harassment Act 1997.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
telephoned these muppets to ask where the alledged ticket was given, and told them due to the fact my car could have been cloned i would be contacting the dvla and the police, a man called he would only say "richard from the department" said he had my details up on the screen and would i tell him my full name, i told him no i wouldnt, he said he needed it for security reasons, i told him for security reasons i needed to pass on his name and company to the dvla, he has outright refused to give me any details so i told him i would just contact the dvla.
when i rang the dvla they were most helpful and told me it did indeed sound dodgy and that i am to send a copy of this so called unpaid parking charge to them and they will look into this for me and make sure my cars plate has not been cloned, which is all i am worried about (thanks to previous posters who highlighted this fact to me)
i think this is a very dodgy company, when i rang i of course withheld my number, yet whilst on the phone they wanted me to input my telephone number, stating so that they could deal with my call more effeciently, yeah right more like so they could of course ring and harrass me no doubt!!.
i will NOT be paying these people, sending me a unpaid parking notice for a location known only as eastblock is a big big con, wonder how many people actually fall for this scam, i will gladly await further notices from them and will post up how it turns out.
and yes i think that one of their idiots has taken down a number wrong hence the fact i am being given the hassle, i really do hope they take me to court, so i can show them up for the crooks that they really are!!!!!0 -
well said, here, here, please please let us know outcome as often we are left wondering,,as for roxburghe they are a bunch of muppets, nothing else.0

Just checking you do know that if the location turns out to be a car park near you, that you still do not respond nor pay? It's a scam whether they call it 'eastBlock' or whether they stipulate a cinema complex or supermarket near you. Makes no difference.
Never take a fake PCN seriously, even if your car was there = scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

right here is the update, i rang them again and told them the dvla were most interested in this and that they wanted the letter and i needed to know the location, turns out it is a hospital in dundee, i live in hampshire, im sure dundee is a lovely place but ive never been there.
the lady i spoke to asked me what make of car i had, of course i didnt tell her, i said you tell me the make of car i have!!, she said she would have to speak to her manager, when she came back she said she would have to get in contact with the client(dundee hospital) regarding this, and could i not send the letter in to the dvla just yet, i told her it was now a criminal matter as my car could have been cloned, she began to shout loudly and state yes but this could be human error.
i quietly told her if this COULD be human error why was i sent a letter stating pay £74 as i had not already paid, why didnt the letter state, we are muppets and conmen who try to hide behind the dvla, stating thats who gave you my details!.
she then said if you give me your phone number i will ring you back when i find out whats gone on, i told her i would not give her my phone number as lord knows what they would do with it!! her answer was well you will just have to ring us then and i cant give you a time or date this will be sorted. she sounded flustered.
this is laughable, i do hope my car has not been cloned which is a possibility i suppose, but my bet is that it is human error, what worries me is that many may have got this letter and just paid, i know my mother in law would have, these are just conmen out to fleece who they can, faced with someone like me they knew they were in the wrong, hence the shouting from them, if they were a decent outfit they would be able to match my car make and have a photo to proove i was in dundee, which they dont, they dont want the dvla to have their details either, which is tough because im sending the details in th morning, if i can get them in trouble i will.
like they said if this goes to court it will just go down to human error, thats not good enough, before these letters are sent they should be making sure they get the facts straight.
i dont know whether my fiasco will help anyone at all, but it shows them to be idiots, so im so pleased i researched on here and chased them.
