Hello. I recieved a letter on the 27th of april saying i would recieve esa from the 11th of may. I dont really read these letters properly as it causes me to stress out. I was paid my last incapacity on the 9th may and thought that the next payment was going to be the 23rd may, but i didnt receive anything so i rang them on thursday and they said my new payment day was thursday and they hadnt put my payment through so id recieve a call from the payment agency. I got the call the told me they'd issued the payment and it should be in my account anytime from now to 5 o clock thursday. still nothing rang them twice friday they said the payment had been processed nothing more they could do. Its now monday morning they said that it has cleared in my bank because they cant click into a payment till it cleared and lone behold no money. I rang the bank and they said nothing is due in. The only thing i can do apparently is get a form sent out to get my bank to stamp to say i have received no payment then they can reissue the payment. Which will probably take a few days. which means i will have gone over a week with no money, I cant pay my bills or my rent which im normally on time with. Has this happened to anybody else? or has anyone got any advise?
it might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

Can you get to the Jobcentre? If so, they can issue you with this form and you can take it to the bank and get them to sign it. Alternatively, if your bank are feeling helpful you could ask them to sign something showing that the money is not pending and take this to the JCP.
I do think you will get this sorted more quickly with some legwork.0 -
thanks, Im agrophobic and sociophobe and my mum normally sorts all these things out but shes not around today till 5. i dont normally ring but for some strange reason they have wiped it off my account that she can ring for me.it might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

Have you got a fax facility on your computer/ printer, or has mum got one, maybe at work? Or you could ask the bank to fax the JCP directly, although I think you'll need to find someone v helpful to get them to do this.0

Check by phoning the bank customer service not the cash machine, telling them the amount to look for. It can take up until today to appear.
Did you recently change your account with DWP?
Did you confirm with them that the account on their scren matches the account you are using now? sort code & account no.
It may have gone into one of your old accounts.
If all this fails they could book you an appt at JC to get the form, or the JC may just give you the form (QB42 I think) but you will normally need an appt to return the form to the jobcentre to get it emailed to the BC to enable the BC to issue a new same day payment, assuming the account held is correct....you get the appt by phoning ESA. The JC is also supposed to book it for you but they rarely do.
Nothing much else you can do until you prove you have not received this money.0 -
OMG this sort of thing still goes on?:(
Bank payments are great when they're underway but ever since they were introduced there were hiccups getting them started.0 -
It's a hiccup because it is the first payment on IB migration, it happens quite often.
Should check what bank details are held on the ESA computer first.0 -
well my mum just rang them, and got the whole 'no not our fault we payed and its cleared. But there is a veryslight possiblity that some put a wrong digit on it and she (me) hasnt received it'. Oh really ive just gone without grocerys paying my bills and rent for a week just for the fun of it. I checked my account number 3 times with them they say they have the right one. hopefully will be sorted tomorrow when i receive the form IF i receive the formit might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

When the bank have signed the form get an appt over the phone from ESA, at the jobcentre to fax the form and request sameday payment.0

just an update. Received the form to declare id not received the payment filled it out my mum rang the benefits to get an appointment to take it down the lady told her id had a counter payment, and that id gone to collect it. My mum asked how that was possible as i dont leave the house and she said someone will ring her back. she received the call and lone behold there was a problem with the payment and their system had a problem and my payment hadnt been received so they would issue it and i would have it within 2 - 3 hours. So they have caused me unnecessary stress for 8 days and left me without money. They can be a joke sometimes. Thanks for everybodys advice you have been a big help to me
