Viareggio Italy

Thinking of going to Viareggio Italy in September. Any one been and can tell me what it is like also any nice hotels.

    I was nearly gonna book a family holiday in Viareggio for this summer, but ended up with Cattolica instead.

    My father-in-law says it's a nice place, he is Italian, so I'd take his word for it. Go for four star accomodation and I'm sure you'll be fine - 3 star can be a bit hit or miss from my experience.

    where do you fly in for this resort,is it ok for kids 14 and 12?

    Hi
    to go to Viareggio you can fly to Pisa as it's very close.
    From there you can also visit Florence and the 5 terre (cinque terre) a still unspoilt area in Liguria with a beutiful landscape and nice trails to walk.
    There are plenty of hotels in Viareggio of any classes as it's a very popular vacation area for Italians. There is a huge sandy beach therefore it's also good for kids. Just look on tripadvisor or any other hotel search engine.
