Off to Disneyland Paris for a few days at the weekend, staying at the Davy Crockett Ranch
Can anyone advise how to eat in the Disney park, without spending a fortune..
We are two adults and 2 adults and a toddler, I have heard you can't take any food in the park with you and they check your bags. We would like to eat out one night but there are so many restaurants and I have heard that alot of the places serve not very nice food for lots of money. We would like to eat out one evening so would be most greatful for any advice,
Also I have heard that there is a supermarket nearby at Val De Europe is that the case or is it just better to load up the boot as Tesco before we get on the ferry and try and smuggle in bagettes.
We have some kids eat free vouchers for The Rainforest Cafe and Planet Hollywood , Is it worth going to these places even with the vouchers

Hi
I am a seasoned EuroDisney visitor having taken a number of school trips there. The kids (usually 40 of them) have always taken their packed lunches in and never been stopped! We have always eaten them quite openly near the entrance! The cafes are hit and miss but there are the usual 'deals' in them. You can leave the park and visit the food area (can;t think what its called) all the usual things there....including McDonalds!!
Hope that helps

hi
We've been there a couple of times and we've always taken food and drinks in the park without being stopped. Food is more expensive in the park, so it's advisable to take in your packed lunches if you're on a budget0 -
Wonderful .It looks like its packed lunches, McDonalds and one night out in a restaurant
I was especially worried about the drinks as I think they are abot £5 each .. But will just take in bottles and luckily with a toddler in tow we have a nice little space under the pram0 -
Pizza Planet is also quite cheap. When I went 2 years ago I loaded the car up with small bottles of pop, box of crisps, chocolate bars, cakes and lots of stuff like that. We tended to either go to Pizza planet or grab a hot dog during the day (after eating a massive breakfast at the hotel as it was included in price) then going to McD's or Pizza Plant and we had one night in Cafe Mickey (bit expensive but all the characters are there).
The kids will be sooo excited they won't care what they are eating.
I did get my bags searched but can't remember anyone actually taking our food off us.0 -
one little tip i picked up on the last time i was there was to use the shop at the station, what have sandwiches and other snacks which are cheaper than alot of the other places to eat in euro disney.0

Disney have changed their food a great deal with more healthy options available now and I did not find the prices that bad unless you want Charachter lunches and the like. It is better to go for the luntime deals at restaurants in Disney Village if you can and get something else from the supermarket (if you are going to be going) for the evening - I think we paid about 8 Euros for a lunchtime meal deal in King Ludwigs Castle. We found the deals in Disey Village for lunch quite good but the evening meals become 2 or 3 times the price. There are some sandwiches and wraps in Rainforest Cafe which are not too badly priced.
They do search your bags now but that is for things like glass, alcohol, etc... not for food and you can take it in with you.
However, yes, Pizza Planet is nice, it was being refurbed when we last went but I have used it before and it's about the same price as Pizza Hut.
Have a great time.0 -
If you are going to eat out in the evening I would recommend Cafe Mickey, the food is ok but the atmosphere is fab for the kids with all the characters visiting your table, my kids still talk about it!0

Just go and have a ball... it's not something you do every weekend, so enjoy it!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
