I don't normally sign in to read, only to post.
I think if you are signed in, and go onto a thread you've looked at or posted on, you can click on View First Unread on the green bar on the left. (The right side of the green bar says Thread Tools, Search this Thread, Display Modes):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Exact way to do this depends on which browser/version you are using - the way I do this is to look at the browser history - for example for the techie forum you will find "Techie Stuff - MoneySavingExpert Forums" - your post is listed as "Stupid qyestion but" in the history log.0

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
assuming you dont want to print it
file save as in your browser will save the webpage to your hard disk
or slightly cleaner, install a pdf writer, and do file, print to pdf.
http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp
then you will have one pdf file, which will open in a pdf reader, eg acrobat if you have it installed or

How about selecting the text you want with your mouse then just copy and paste it onto a blank word document?0

Im not sure I explained myself well. I dont want the wording on a dcoument. For instance, Ive just started reading a thread which is 300+ pages, Im only up to page 30. I wanted a way to be able to go back to that page of that makes sense?
As for bookmarks, please dont assume that everyon knows what your talking about ! (sigh)!0 -
To vreate a bookmark, press control B (in firefox this brings all your bookmarks to the left) you can then create one (drag and drop the tab over) or access your other bookmarks.
OR
Click on the top where you can see bookmarks, or on the bookmark toolbar if you have one, ie click FireFox top left corner, then click Bookmarks, and you have all the options there too.
Please note, you will need to create a new bookmark every time you keep reading the thread. It's not dynamic, so wont change. You can then delete the old one.
If you can't see these options, tell us what browser you are using.
Do people really not know how to surf with bookmarks? I've used them since time dot of existence, and would be lost with out them. I just figured bookmarks are a natural thing to do for everyone.0 -
Some browsers may have bookmarks called favourites (or favorites), but the concept is the same....
Another method is to highlight the URL; use Ctrl+C to copy it to the Clipboard, and Paste it into a text editor such as Notepad; when you want to return to the same point in the thread, open Notepad, copy the address, paste into the URL bar and hit Return or Enter
