Used car broken down after 1 month

You can stick you fingers is your ears, you can once again try to misdirect by focusing on one particular phrase, you can deliberately quote the incorrect section of the SOGA. We've given the op the information they need, even down to the correct section of the SOGA's act that gives them the right to reject, and the oft guide to traders telling them to honour their customers rights, so it's doubtful they'll believe you when you tell them they have no rights as you usually do. If you give a car a one week warranty for a refund, that's up to you, and any customer of yours that gets stung. Unless they post on here, and we'll give them the truth.
You do know that you were actually linking to a GUIDANCE document, not the actual SOGA document dont you?
HINT - its the one i was quoting from in MY links.
"if you give a car a one week warranty for a refund" - that doesnt even make sense?? :eek:0 -

If I bought a car for 200 quid and the dash packed up 2 weeks later would I be able to reject it? I doubt it.2 days later?Probably.
True, therefore in this case would it not be common sense to take the car back, list the faults and see what the dealer says? There is no need - or no 'right' - at this stage to be demanding a refund.0 -

I think you need to calm down slightly, and actually read the posts, before going off into your rants.0 -

Again, this is what i have said previously - the SOGA is a grey document. Its not clear on what can happen when, thus is open to misinterpretation.
There is no need for the O/P to take this to court - they simply need to take the car back - or have it taken back by the dealer and have them sort it out.
THATS the first step - not DEMAND this or that.
If the dealer tells them to !!!! off then thats a different issue.0 -
And if the dealer, such as yourself, tells them they have "accepted" it, that's another matter too. You like your two weeks, the SOGA gives a "reasonable time"; Again, thankfully it's not down to you to lay your opinion on them, it's down to whatever is a normal interpretation, and as everyone keeps telling you, it'll vary from car to car, price to price, and the useage it's had. But you keep ranting "two weeks, then it's yours" The op doesn't have to believe you.0
