help - online checkout information urgently required

hi - sorry this seemed like the best place to post this - I'm flying tomorrow from Edinburgh to Beijing via Amsterdam. I've just gone to check in on line and I can check in for the first part of the journey and printed off my boarding pass - but when it comes to check in for the Amsterdam part I'm unable to do it - says it is not possible to check in for this flight from this airport. Please begin by checking in for the first leg of your journey but I've done that . Does that mean the boarding pass that I've printed off covers the Amsterdam leg as well?

I was in China last year but I don't remember having the same issue - anyone offer any advice - thanks in advance.

sorry - KLM - I should have said that - finished work at 10pm tonight so just trying to board on line and print off the boarding passes.....

I'd print out the message and turn up early and let them sort it out, that's the main advantage of a full fare flight. Maybe it's a code-share (I don't know) and this has screwed the system. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I'm booked 1640 Edinburgh - Amsterdam then 2055 Amsterdam arriving Beijing 1240 - the Amsterdam - beijing is operated by China Southern but it has a KLM flight number - would that make a difference?

This can happen if the flight is overbooked. It should not be a problem though, one advantage of taking a connecting flight is that you will be at the airport far earlier than those starting from AMS.

The code share thing should not be an issue, the site should issue you with passes for all of their partners.

* I've just noticed it is China Southern - probably the only one of their partners I have not flown with, so it could be different!

that's exactly the flight I am taking - slightly concerned about the last post with regards to over-booking however......!

Sorry can't help, had a similar thing with Jet going to India last year, they sorted it no problem at the airport, that's what you're paying for.
