Hi mo 1,
Potato peelings make great crisps and are very nutritious: Preheat the oven to it's highest temperature...mine is 250 degrees. Dry off the (scrubbed before peeling) peelings with kitchen paper, put them in a bowl add some chilli. garlic powder or black pepper and toss around in some oil. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer and pop into the hot oven for about 15 minutes. You need to keep a really close eye on them as it's a fine line between being undercooked and burnt! Drain on kitchen paper and add salt and pepper to taste. My kids love them!
These threads have more recipes and advice that should help:
Making crisps!
Reproducing commercial dry baked crinkly crisps
Vegetable Crisps
Homemade microwave crisps
I'll add your thread to the first link later to keep the suggestions together.

You know I always throw my potato skins away, keep saying I'm going to keep them and fry them (love crispy potato skins with garlic mayo.... mmmnnnn!)
Next time I have potatoes I'm making them into crisps
Any ideas how long they will keep for? xCan't think of anything smart to put here...0 -
