Car insurance reduction if you use a Dash cam

Hi all
This is my first post on this website. I recently seen on the news about Dash cams that can help reduce the cost of your insurance. Which i am all for
[FONT=&quot]I did a bit of research and have found these cameras on say on Ebay for £40 or so and i am interested in how this device will reduce my insurance. How do i tell my insurance company i have one and what will they offer [/FONT]

Ring them up, write an email or send a letter, seem to be the most popular ways of doing that.[FONT=&quot]

Sorry, I don't think anyone on here will be able to answer that.
For a start you haven't told us your insurance company.
How about ringing them, writing an email or sending a letter to ask them?
