Alton Towers questions

Hi
Me and OH plan going to Alton Towers for 2 days in second week of June and have a few 2 for 1 vouchers. A couple of questions:
1) I presume the 2 for 1 offer is only valid for full priced tickets bought on the day...or can you pre-pay in advance over the phone/website to save time on the kiosk queues? How much extra do you have to pay for a second day's admission for each full price ticket purchased? Can you use a 2 for 1 voucher for the extra day as well? Reason i'm asking is that for tickets bought online, they offer a second day's admission for only 9 pounds and they're currently selling online tickets for only 25 pounds a day (if bought at least 7 days in advance) so this may work out cheaper than going for the 2 for 1 offer and then paying considerably more than 9 pounds per person for second day.
2) We plan on spending Friday and Saturday. On Saturday is it a good idea to pay more and go for the fast track option on popular rides? Or are fast track queues also very long on weekends?
Sorry haven't been to the park in over 15 years so no idea what its like these days!
Cheers

2 for 1 vouchers are as you thought only valid against full price admission tickets at the gate. I think it costs £9 for a 2nd day ticket at the park (£7.50 + VAT) but I don't know if it would be valid on the 'free' ticket of a 2for 1 offer. Assuming you could get two £9 tickets, it would cost you £60 for 2 days for 2 people using a 2 for 1 (£42 + £18) vs £68.40 for the same booked online.
Alton Towers has been quiet this year on the days I have visited (first day of opening and yesterday.) Queues on Saturday were around 40 - 50 minutes at their peak with the exception of Sub Terror which peaked at 70 minutes.
If you buy your tickets online and can arrive at the park at 9am, you avoid the queues to purchases your tickets and you get an extra hour (9-10am) to go on some of the biggest rides with minimal queue times (about 0-5 minutes on Saturday) and this could save the need to buy Fast Track tickets.
Early rides for 2012 are: Oblivion, Rita, Nemesis, Runaway Train, Hex, a couple of small rides and Sealife.0 -
Thanks mew. I guess that leaves me in a dilemma...if go for the 2 for 1 offer, i'll have to buy tickets on the day which i believe do NOT offer early ride time (9-10am) so would probably end up buying fast track tickets as well on saturday. Decisions decisions!0

No help on the 2 for 1 but I was asking questions about Alton Towers a few weeks ago.

After a lot of dilly-dallying decided to book 2 tickets online for 2 days admission @ £70 for 13 & 14 June. When making the booking i was asked to choose just one date which i chose as 13th. I'm assuming that 13th will be treated as my first day of admission but if my plans change could i turn up on the 12th and treat 13th as my second day? In the email confirmation, even though it states 2 day admission, only 13th June is mentioned.
(i have to collect the tickets at the gate on the day)0
