Have a look at Roundup, or it's generic name
Quite frankly you will have to have some control over the dog & children for at least 24 hours
A good place to find some of the round up products is on a site called midland garden supplies. Not very popular due to being over shun by the major gardening suppliers, but from what i've found they supply at cheap prices.0
