hi
I pay £5.95 a month for an insurance that was to cover me for female cancers. It was a fixed term of 10 years whereby at the end if i hadn't claimed i got all the premiums back.
Well, life got in the way!! I'm not exactly sure how long ago it was but am sure it was almost or a little over 10 years now. The problem is, i don't have any paperwork for it as i had to move and couldn't take all my things with me, but the money is still being taken out of my account.
I can't trace the policy on the internet and am at a bit of a loss as to how i'm supposed to get my money back now. I'm not sure if the company still exists, if its American Life, AMICA, or if not, who is taking my money out?! Feel a bit stupid that i've lost the original paperwork but don't want to lose 10 years worth of premiums.
Can anyone help??
Thanks

"......who is taking my money out?!......"
I'd start by asking my bank...............
I've also Googled and found this thread, here, from 2005, which is 'interesting'.

Hi
I have one of the female cancer insurance policies and if I remember correctly I took it out around 6 years ago. the company was American Life (Alico) but has recently changed the policy to a company called Reassure as I have just received a letter. It was stated in my policy that it runs for 15 yrs and I would receive all my premiums back should I not claim.
If this sounds familar and you want me to dig out the letter they sent just pm me and I will give you the info.
