Edinburgh Vehicle Removal Charge
Jbuckland
I was loading my car with the remains of my university flat to move back home when I sliced my finger on a pizza cutter I was packing away. It required stitches so my friend rushed me to the University Medical Center. 40 minutes later I returned to find my car was gone. After speaking to the police I found my car had been removed due to a parking infringement. With my car containing almost all of my possessions you can imagine my frustration!
I was given a £180 fine to release my vehicle and told if I want to appeal to use the provided form:

The ticket issued with the removal can be seen here:

Sorry for the lack of links (new user
).
Do I have a case for an appeal? I can provide a witness statement from my friend that took me to the medical center and any photo they provide will clearly show a car full of a students university belongings.
Thanks, James.

The story about the cut : Drop it.
Your defence is the signs and it looks like the contravention code could be incorrect for the offence depending where you parked.
You should scan everything both sides and find exactly where on that road you were parked and head over to a forum called http://www.pepipoo.com/ with all your documents, both sides and post it up
They dont suffer fools so make sure you comply from the start, if they have to asked for what it says post documents wise, you will be ignored until you do.
read very carefully what they need particularly the both sides bit and a link to google street view with your location and any photos you have of where you were parked, the road markings and signs above them.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
