Tax credits and DLA

Hi,
We have just received our tax credits form back with 12-13 award.
My wife suffers for very bad epilepsy and get higher care as part of her DLA. On the tax credit form it says under her name "you have a disability." On the check list form it asks,
"if you qualify for the disability element, is this shown? it does
next questions is
"if you receive the highest rate care component of Disability living allowance is this show here" doesn't mention this under her name
Does this mean they haven't included this in their calculation? She had told them when we started claiming tax credits last year. Also why can't they just make these forms straight forward?
can't ring them till Monday now

Who is working, you or your wife?“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0

you only get the disability element of the disabled person is working 16 hours a week or more.
if the non disabled partner is the one who worls then you wont get the extra element

we both work, my wife works 18 hours a week and I work 400

In that case you should be entitled to both, as the severe disability premium is payable if either one of you work. The disability premium is if the disabled person works.
Remember though the amount you receive will be based on your earnings and as you do almost 60 hours between you it might cancel out.
Do you have children?“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -
1 kid who is 4. I think earnings have cancelled it out too0
