Hi guys,

Newbie here and hoping for some advice.

Took out loan with these in Nov2000 for £7500 over 60months at £216 a month.

I applied over the phone where I was told ONE monthly repayment and the insurance came as standard. Wasn't given an option or a quotation without it. Guy came and delivered a cheque to my door I remember and the rest is history. It finished in 2005 and i never claimed on insurance.

Now after doing the usual searches of PPI on the net the other night, I decided to send them a letter on 22.05.12 stating all the various details (name, account numbers, address, DOB etc) stating I felt I was un-fairly treated and sold insurance I did not ask for or need. At the time, I didn't have the policy number. However, today I have found the agreement from the AA which states....

Advance - £7500
AA CREDITCARE STANDARD - £2445
Amount Of Credit - £9945.90
Total Charge For Credit - £3071.10
Total Amount Payable - £13017!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I could kick myself for paying that now! Doh!

My question is, am I in with a shout of getting insurance back?

Any info greatly appreciated.

You could call them, but they may not look at this claim due to the year the Loan was taken out though, won't hurt to find out though as you never know, let them know you have the agreement.

    Minor update....

Called them on Monday and gave agreement number and they still had all my details. Explained why I felt I was mis-sold policy and was then told I would receive an acknowledgement letter within next 5 working days.
