I didn't read that you were in hospital for thirty days, did I?

In fact, I didn't read that you were in hospital at all.

Please explain why that should be of interest to M&S.

Also, if you made the purchase on 18 April and tried to return the goods on 24 May, you were seven days outside their 28 day return period.
    Not as you claim...

    Actually, M&S have a 35-day returns period.

And no comment on the rest of my post?
    I am disappointed.

I have a pair of unwanted trouser which I attempted to return just 24 hours outside of M&S's returns period.
    Where is this 'well publicised'????

    I totally agree.
Apart from being written on the receipt, on a sign by the tills in the stores and on their website, it not well publicised at all.
In fact, the receipt even shows the last date that that the unwanted goods can be returned for a full refund.

35 days is 35 days longer then they are required by law to accept returns for unwanted or unsuitable goods, and if far longer than many retailers.

Some of the posters are extremely hostile and totally unhelpful; I'm amazed!

You falsely accuse a major FTSE company of theft and then describe other users of being hostile? I'm sorry but I think that's hypocritical

My posts have been removed but I stand by what I said!

What I really don't understand is if they are too long, as said in OP, then why not just shorten them????

Why was my post removed too?

How many 85 year olds are trolling the web at 1:27am?

Does no one try anything on anymore? Am I the only one who tries on everything I buy (except pants & socks!). If I don't have time to try it on, I don't buy it just in case. I don't buy online either for the same reason.

I don't want to appear rude (but I probably will be!), but you must have been buying trousers for years... how do you not know your inside leg measurement?

At the end of the day M&S offered to go above and beyond what they are legally required to offer. If they made an exception for you, they would have to do it for everybody. Then people would expect to be let off by another day and so on. They need to draw the line somewhere and they have, at 35 days.

I'm sure you can the the hem adjusted for less than the £19 you would have lost if you had returned them? *do correct me if am wrong because I have never had to get trousers adjusted!

Of course I liked them...do you buy things you don't like??

    The all-round fit is poor.

You should have stated the all round fit is poor in your first post, you just said they were too long. I wouldnt have wasted my time on you.

You come up with sarcasm and then tell posters they are hostile.

    Trolling, trolling, trolling, :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
