Carcraft ppi

Hi there i have just recieved my sar details from creation about a car i bought from carcraft (i know bad mistake) its all paid off now though.

Apparently i had life, accident, sickness and unemployment cover which cost £3240 plus £1628 interest but nowhere does it state who provided this ppi and the policy number which i need to make a complaint, so any ideas what i do now and who to complain to.

This ppi was added to my loan so i had 1 monthly direct debit.

And i was self employed at the time so i wouldnt know if this cover would of been any good for me.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You don't need to know who provided the policy, as you can only complain of mis-selling to the seller!
You therefore complain to Carcraft and write the loan account number you held with them.
The main thrust of your complaint should be that the PPI was "front-loaded" onto the loan to attract extra interest.

Carcraft will probably reject it. You then go to the Financial Ombudsman Service who will overturn it.

Start by completing this form. Take three copies and send one to Carcraft with a covering letter saying you wish to complain about PPI misselling.

If you do not get a response within about 9 weeks that you are satisfied with, send the second copy to the Financial Ombudsman Service with a copy of the covering letter you sent to Carcraft and a copy of any response from them.

    Total cost:

    Postage £1
Paper and ink, say another £1
