I'm having a quiet cuppa whilst everyone else is still asleep so thought I'd do my weekend list now.

    So far:
    • washing hung on line in free sunshine
    • checked banking
    • checked for surveys
    • finished one customer order
    • DH collected DS2 from station whilst in town saving two lots of diesel

    I will also:
    • finish second order and get both into the post today (thank heavens Mr W's Post Office counter is open on Sundays!!)
    • all meals from stores - yes the dreaded BBQ :o
    • go out with friend this evening to see Suzanne Vega - tickets were a Mother's Day present from my gang!
    • have an NSD (postage from business account :D)

That's a bit of a poor list! Most of my weekend is being spent in the sewing room catching up on all my orders so I'm not getting chance to do anything else. Mind you, it stops me spending I suppose.....

    Have a good Sunday,

Need to water beans and peas plants are looking great already

Need to plant some more veg and salad

    more laundry and dishes

I start my masters degree tomorrow ARGH

    Need to do some shopping

You may remember OH had his ESA stopped at xmas we went to court on Friday and they gsve it back so we are having back pay. Such a relief.

Morning All :) More sunshine here today - will keep out of it for the most part as I'm a bit red on my shoulders from spending the day at a park yesterday (despite factor 50 ) Only paid for parking and an ice cream - took picnic with us.

Have already got one laod in washing machine, just one more to do - drying on line - obviously:D
Roast lamb that I got on offer for tea - rest of meals from stores
Try and sort out big pile of clothes and decide which to fleabay and which to go straight to CS (or bin)
Drop DVD/TV at friends house for her DD
Post 2 cards for another friend through her door, that I've had for over a week now. Her newborn will be a toddler at this rate if I don't post them :rotfl:
Get ready for trip to London tomorrow - early start as need to drive an hour first to drop DD off - not ideal, but should be cool early and work can buy me breakfast on the train :D
Just got loaf out of breadmaker I put on before bed last night, may have to make bacon sarnies for breakfast now.

Right off to see if my 2 year old has risen from her slumber yet

Have a lovely day everyone, enjoy the sunshine if you can ;)

Raking the lawn. Time to get the weeds out for good instead of chucking down useless weed killers at a cost of £50 a year!

The biggest change we have recently made is to start doing our food shopping online and it has made a massive difference, I think this morning was our cheapest yet!

We have always gone every other week and done a 2 week shop and it got to the point where we were spending £140+, we started doing it online and quickly got it down to £100 and for the past month our bill has been under £85 with this morning being £84 which I am quite proud of. Seeing what you are spending as you go along as opposed to just throwing stuff in the trolley and getting a shock at the till is a fantastic perk.

And to think the first time we done this was because I broke my foot back in February and couldn't drive! A blessing in disguise.

Other than that having a quite weekend before the month from hell for money saving... Cousins wedding, our wedding anniversary, daughters birthday, fathers day AND wife's birthday all in June... Wish me luck!

Boo. We have rain so no beach today. Still, saved on car parking!

If the rest of you could just encourage it to come west again, ta!

    Hello!

I'm a bit of a lurker on this thread, so thought I'd pop on and say hi

    DFW things to do today:

Wash bedding and pop on the landing banister to dry (no washing line :p)
    Check banking
Head to my aunty's to help with the kids while she packs for her holiday
Head to my Grandma's for dinner
Check ¢o-op for whoopsies on the way home, and buy bread to save money on lunches
    2019 Aim: Save £10,000
Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now
