Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May - What small DFW things will you do this weekend??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Good morning all. Looks like it's going to be another lovely weekend!! :j

I have a shocking advantage of living 5 mins from a pretty secluded beach, so I imagine my weekend will be mainly spent at the beach in the sunshine with a picnic and OH!!

I will also try and squeeze in some MSEing:

    * Low spend days / No spend days if possible
    * Payments made for June to CC / Loan
    * Updated sig and feeling positive I can kick this soon!
    * Try to convince OH to do all the driving around this weekend to save me petrol money
    * Washing also coming with me to OH's to use his washing machine (will put on the line to dry) - I worry I may have taken this DFW lark to the extreme sometimes!! :rotfl:

I think that's my lot, just plan on basking in the sun all weekend in true British style!!

    Have a lovely one all!

I'm working nights, so other than filling up the car (strangely enough, a supermarket close to Canary Wharf is cheaper than at home in Essex), I'm was hoping to have a zero spend weekend, but I have bought some reduced to clear crumpets & strawberries, although otherwise everything is from existing stocks (I prepare sarnies & meals at home so i do not have to pay the extortionate price for lunches etc charged in the CW area). Done my laundy, it's drying in the flat awaiting my ironing blitz on Monday morning after work...........
