Stopping calls from LloydsTSB

Not sure if this is the right forum but can't see anything else suitable.

WE've been getting calls every day (including weekends) from someone claiming to be from LloydsTSB. 1471ing the number gives a Brighton number although ringing that tells you to call another number as the Indian call centre seems to be routed through that.

After over 50 calls with them being told constantly not to ever call the number again (and repsonses being "sorry, we won't do it again" [at least until tomorrow] or "ok, we'll call again tomorrow") I wrote a formal letter of complaint to them (sent recorded delivery).
Had a response a week or so later but since we've had 1 call where someone spoke, 2 days later a silent call, and just now at 8:55am another silent call from them.

So what's the next course of action as they are completely ignoring everything?

If your complaint isn't resolved within 8 weeks you can escalate it to the FOS.

Alternatively, go online and amend your marketing preferences.

Also - if you're account is online, change your contact details.

A friend of mine changed her phone details to Lloyds own collections number and the calls stopped after a while.

They are calling you because they think you owe them money. Are you having problems with your account?

So why are they calling you ? Have you asked them ?

If you owe them any money you can't really ignore them.

Are you sure it is actually Lloyds Bank generating ( or at least sponsoring) the calls and not somebody else passing themselves off with a similar sounding business name?

WEll, it's the 01273 Brighton number which according to some searches has something to do with a credit card.
My account is fine, payments going in and out, yet they're ringing up twice a day now - always some Indian sounding person if it's not a silent call.

Just had a call 5 minutes ago so another should be due between 5-7pm.

I thought the procedure was to write a letter of complaint quoting various laws, then wait for a reply. Then write another letter and then if no reply or a reply and things still carry on, FSA time.
As said, I've sent the first letter and had a reply yet had 8 phone calls that I know of in the last few days all from the same number which you call back and an automated message tells you to ring another number.
