Just a quick query on behalf of someone ellse who booked a holiday on Thursday with Thomas Cook, paying in full by credit card. They have just discovered that the price of the package dropped by £150pp yesterday and are fuming. Has anyone been in this position before, and successfully claimed the difference back? TIA

Yes, I suspect plenty of people have been in this situation, and no, there is nothing you can do.0

I find it so strange that this question has never been asked before.
Have a good trip and please don't let this spoil your holiday.0 -
They could cancel and rebook but whether it is worth doing will depend on how much they would lose by cancelling the booking0

Its all supply and demand, bit like at christmas when you buy all your christmas presents then boxing day they're half price in the sale. Or when supermarkets sell items at full price then the next day they're 3 for 2. If that holiday had gone up £150 would your friends have gone to the travel agents and paid the extra.
They were obviously happy with the price they paid at the time unfortunately its just one of those things.0 -
It never ceases to amaze me why people keep checking the prices after booking!travelover0
