Sounds like a good idea. Need to stop somewhere really. I have just text him and said that I will get what he wants for his birthday (seeing as I have already had mine), but from Christmas we should set a limit. I've suggested £50 as a starting point.

Just withdrawn £10 from a survey site, so I've made back the money for my sister's bag, plus an extra £1
.
I've done quite a few surveys today and I'm being sent a tin of tuna and 2 bottles of washing detergent to trial.

Watching Deal or No Deal with my mum. Really gets on my nerves when they deal and then start crying because they could have had more money. The woman on there at the moment has won £17,500 and was crying because she could have received £50k+ instead. I would be so chuffed if I had £17.5k, as would anyone else on this board.
Sorry, just really frustrates me .

Phew, finally got my nephew off to sleep. I think he's really hot bless him. It's so muggy here. This house is still cooler than my flat though. I keep feeling the need to go and check on him. I feel like a new mother!
Just completed another £1.50 survey
.
Think I might have a mooch around the site for a bit.

Just done some calculations. If I still want to meet my target of £35k by the end of May 2013, then I have to clear £23.04 a day (starting tomorrow).

I'm sure you can do it Emz

Have you broken that down yet? As in how many questions you would need to do a day etc?Debt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Morning

Don't worry, I haven't just woken up. I have been number crunching. I've found a great app on the iPhone that manages your goals. So I have put in that I need to clear £6,680 worth of debt by 31st May 2013. It has broken it down for me and given me different targets to meet.
So, my first target is in 10 weeks time (24th October), and I need to have cleared £1,617 from my debt. I think this is possible, but I need to earn £50 a day for the rest of this month and next month to achieve it.

I've changed the app so it does monthly targets. So my first target is £693 by 14th September. I'm not sure I'll manage that one to be honest, but I should be able to catch up by the second month's target.
Here are the targets:
£693 by 14 September
£1,386 by 14 October
£2,080 by 12 November
£2,773 by 12 December
£3,467 by 11 January
£4,160 by 10 February
£4,853 by 12 March
£5,547 by 12 April
£6,240 by 12 May
£6,680 by 31 May
Easy peasy right??

I so need an iPhone - these apps sound so good

That's good how you've broken it down to the individual targets, can you now break it down further - this many questions a day to hit this amount, this many surveys etc.
I've been reading how the best way to achieve a goal is to really break it down
I need to earn 1K a month is the goal.
But then breaking it down would be:
That means £x a day
To get that I need to do x questions and x surveys
This will take x hours a day
Then track it on a spreadsheet so you can see how far ahead/behind the end of the month goal you are.
Sorry, it's probably pointing out the obvious but it was quite enlightening to me - I tend to set crazy-high goals and then have no idea how to reach them and end up doing nothing
