With the economy as it is should we book for 2013?

As the title says really! All the gloom & doom in the papers about how 'its' going to get much worse' any of you thinking twice about booking for 2013?
We've always booked a whole year in advance to get the very best price but to be honest at the moment I'm feeling decidedly wobbly about commiting this year for next with all this talk of job losses etc..
