gap between credit card applications for partner and me

I got my c/c balance transferred over afew months ago to a 0% deal on a virgin card. My partner wants to do the same so we can save on interest. I havent had any more credit applications in meantime and he hasnt for at least 6 months. assuming all else is ok, is he likely to be accepted or does it go on your address as well as who you are.

Credit checks are personal unless you have any shared credit (eg joint bank account, mortgage, loan or utilities - namely British Gas). They are not done on the address itself - thats an old myth0
