3 sets of drawings needed for building regs - where from?

We got an architect out to our place to chat about possible alterations and he is obviously able to supply drawings and apply for building warrants if needed. He is costly to say the least. :eek:

Is there anyone else who could supply the type of drawings required and who would be cheaper? The alterations we're thinking of at the moment are very straightforward and simple, nothing complicated or difficult at all.

I find that the building department are very tolerant of drawings... I have applied for planning permission twice and used my own drawings on both occasions (And I am a lousy drawer). They went through on both occasions. (I have little doubt that if they had not been good enough the planning officer dould have pointed me in the right direction). Just make sure that they are clear and the measurements are given properly.
