Obviously I was hoping someone would tell me that because it's BG's fault they may write off the debt! But as I suspected you can't beat the system! I'll just up my payments online and hope to clear the debt... sometime?!;)

It's not really their fault as you were aware that £2 pw would not cover your energy costs, I doubt it would cover most people's today ;)

Blimey I was paying £2 pw back in 1990!

I smell something wrong here, BG are using sap which automatically changes the dd when bills.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

You are equally at fault for not insisting on paying more. £2 a week for energy for 99.9% of people is extremely low for most people we pay for both utilities between £1000 and £1200give or take a little so £2 would be £104 around 10% roughly

So sorry your plan didnt work in thinking you can get off scot free, my only suggestion is come to an arrangement with them to pay it off, but bare in mind you have to now accrue some credit for next winter. Surely you should have pout money aside?

You cant always expect companies to do what they say, you really should have got back on to them and insisted you pay more
