Selling on Butlin's Holiday- Has anyone done this?

As title really, I booked to go to Butlins in July through the Sun holidays but now we can't go :( I have asked around the family and nobody wants it. I am not looking to make a profit, I just want my money back I paid and for someone else to enjoy a break.

I usually use ebay to see how acceptable things are to sell on, but I cant find any on, which makes me think you cant do it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hmmmm, always on dodgy ground unless you change names. Any damage / problems could end up in your lap if sell on or giveaway.

If you go down the change names on booking route then it will cost a fair bit in admin charges.

Best way is to find someone you trust to give/sell holiday too!

Butlins do not ask for ID at gate or check in so you ok on that score
Am i here to save money or spend money......hmmmmm

  • I have seen plenty sold for good prices on ebay. Like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BUTLINS-MINEHEAD-Fri-8th-Mon-11th-Jun-2-Adults-2-Children-Dinner-Breakfast-Inc-/390419025622?pt=UK_Tickets_Travel_Package_Holidays_CV&hash=item5ae6c98ed6 as first response said unless you change the names for them there is a small risk if something goes wrong you would be liable.

Butlins works hard providing tens of thousands of holidays for a wide sector of the UK population whom provide lots of UK jobs and taxes.

You make them seem like a charitable organisation. Do they actually work hard and provide holidays for a wide sector? I don't know a single person who has ever holidayed at Butlins and enjoyed it.

I take it you work for Butlitz.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the replies.

I have never been to "Butlitz" so no idea to what it relates to, it was just a cheap holiday when the kids are out of school.

Good point about the damage, I hadn't thought of that.

We loved Butlins when DS was little - he's grown out of it a bit, but I miss it! Butlins at Minehead and Bognor are excellent to use a base for the surrounding areas too.

I think some people are just a bit snobby about Butlins, without having gone there (eg my brother and sister....:rotfl:)

You could maybe put the holiday up on ebay, just describing it as a week (or whatever it is) at a famous holiday camp in Bognor, Minehead, Skegness.....
