My first IVA related problem

I started my IVA in November 2011 and I've just hit the first problem.

Car Insurance.

Between the missus and myself, I know I could save £70 per month on car insurance. But I have to stay where i am because I can't pass a credit check to pay monthly.

Not all pay monthlies will do a credit check. And many IVA'ers are rejected on comparison sites but accepted by the same companies if they phone the insurance co direct. It's worth a try --- it's not as though your CRA file will be damaged by searches at the moment.

Strange I had no problems in the 5yrs I had one and that was going through a Broker and also with Admiral direct,

Very strange, we never had any problems going through confused or compare ,and I swap every year to get the best price car insurence. On my joint IVA..never stay with the same company one told me when I asked how on renewal why they were £200 more than a new company, he said ,I know come back next year and I will be able to better any price. that was barclays.
I have seen on my credit check that some companies do a search, but that might be just voting,bank a/c etc ,still get 80 plus offers on search premiums ...Good luck.
