Ebay Fixed Price Lisiting

Can some one explain to me what a Fixed Price Listing is?

I know what an auction lisiting is.
I know what buy it now lisiting is.

Fixed price listing I have not heard of or is it a name for some thing else?

Hi just been on to have a look and it looks like 'Fixed Price' is just when you have the listing as a 'buy buy it now'

Really pleased as I planned to list some buy it how's over the next week, will do it this weekend now!

    This ^^^^^

If you use the fixed price tab when listing, it does indeed become a B I N style listing.

    Hi

It states in the t and c:

BIN 30 days and GTC listings, as well as all Auction-style listings including Auction-style with the Buy It Now Upgrade Feature, are excluded.

    Hope this helps

  • Just to be quite sure, if I edit my unsold items from auction to BIN then they will be free this weekend? Is there a way to bulk edit them?
    TIA

No, and I suspect no as bulk tools are excluded from Free Listing Weekend promotions.

I believe FLW/FLDs have always been auction only. Now that the private/business distinction is so rigorous and yet so abused, in order to make sure unreg businesses can't abuse the facilities, eBay have usually restricted free listings to auctions only. Unreg businesses are usually using buy-it-now listings (which have rarely been included in free listing promotions) and bulk tools (e.g. Turbolister) to spam the site, so eBay took measures over the last couple of years to reduce their ability to use FLWs when they shouldn't have access to them at all.

It's restricted to auctions, to what you can list manually, and to a limit of I believe about 100 items per weekend.

Just had a quick look on my phone to see if I could relist an item that was an auction to make it a fixed price. There is an option to change the pricing from aution to fixed price, so hopefully I can do that without having to make a whole new listing. (Although I now have a nice pair of teal jeans to add to the list ;) )

I think when FLD's were once in a blue moon they did occasionally have BIN days.

Just to clear up some confusion, there is a BIN weekend this weekend, but you cant do 30 days.
