samsung e800 & infra red port

i want to sell my old samsung e800 but i want to keep all the photos from it (as most of them are people/animals that have died) this phone only has a infra red port though :(. The phone i use now has infra red so i am trying to transfer the pics but it wont work, i can transfer them from my new phone to the old phone but not the other way around.

There isnt any credit on the sim and i dont really want to top up as i think you can only top up £10 and its on a different network to my new phone :o

Any ideas? thanks pap :grinheart

You may want to check the user manual because some Samsung handsets won't allow anything other than your contacts/address book to be transferred by IR. I suppose they expect you to pay for each one to be sent over the network.

As above, I've tried to send pic's IR in the past from a number of handset and it's never worked yet !!

Before you spend money on a IR add on, try to test it by sending to another IR phone maybe...

i have an e800 as well and it can only send contacts via IRDA. i have tried sending pictures to it from a d500, k700i and k750i and it fails on all of them, i have heard you can transfer stuff via IRDA using an ir adapter and samsungs file manager

Try downloading the software from this page
  • ahh i think i will have to buy some credit and then send them as messages then :( what a pain  nevermind, thanks anyway :)
