Issue with Motor-Mate

Needs to be done sometimes though, it increases economy and driving pleasure immensely for the next driver.Mr_Thrifty wrote: »I bet those 90 miles were driven like it was a Forumula 1 racing car, too.
6,000 rpm gear changes, heavy on the clutch, hard braking, hard cornering, etc.
After all, nothing quite handles like a company car.
Engines are built to be driven, sometimes they need a "damn good thrashing", bit of "ying and yang..."

Hi,
I used motormate recently and I encountered issues with their services too. I purchased a voucher from LivingSocial which offered a discount on their services and the services provided to me were discounted too. There was literally only one date/time available for me to book in the whole month. On the day of the MOT, The driver turned up 2 hours late.
My MOT failed and I needed extra repairs - all work 200 pounds including 30 pounds to change headlights. I was a bit surprised that so much repair was needed but maybe it happens with wear and tear. The prices were excessive though.
My mileage was fine but half a tank of petrol was gone. The air conditioning was turned on full blast and so was the music.
When they returned the car, they parked it in front of my neighbout's driveway and in the wrong place so my neighbour was !!!!ed and not able to take his car out.
When I complained to motormate, they said nothing could be done. I asked for compensation but they laughed. Now I am trying to get some explanation from LivingSocial.
Let me know if your problem gets resolved pls. I am trying to get more info abt this company but nothing online.0 -
Another case of an MOT 'failure' due to the headlights?? What was wrong with them? £30 sounds a little cheap to 'change headlights'."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
