is it possible to send an mp3 file via text message
want to send from a HTC to a Samsung
i use GO SMS Pro, not sure what the other side uses....possibly the same
the file is a song i have been sent from a band to my email address -

Given it isnt text you cannot send it via text message/sms.
You can send MP3 by MMS but there are file size limits imposed by your phone network provider (O2, TMobile etc) which generally are only a few hundred KB or a MB at most which would mean it is only very small, highly compressed mp3s that you'd be able to send.
Why use this method though? Why not email it? Upload it to a website and download it again?0 -

The person i wish to send it to isnt very good with technology.....
i was sort of hoping to have been able to have sent it so they could literally just click on it and it would play on phone0 -

Do they have a smart phone?
If they do then upload it to DropBox, generate a link to it and just text them the link. They click on it and it will come down/ play0 -
You could burn it to audio CD and post it...0
