Early discharge in Scotland doesn't really exist other than the reasons mentioned in If's link, but considering we pay a lot less up here to go BR we can't really grumble too much!
If you're not subject to an IPA then after this you won't hear from AIB again until they have been discharged from your BR (usually a wee while after your 12 months is up)
When I got to the 6 month mark my case officer wrote asking for my v5 and other bits and pieces that they already had but they explained that all this is sent out automatically, so it's probably been the same with your SOA as you send them your details every month.
