My 8% account is indeed First Direct but as long as you have another product with them (bog standard savings account) then there current account is free (although need to pay in something like £1000-1500 per month.0 -

AFAIK you avoid the fee by either holding a savings account or by paying in £1500 per month. I don't think you need to do both. (But I guess it doesn't do any harm...)0 -
