Ebay Or Amazon?

I have a lot of stuff to sell including books, cds and dvds and I was wondering which site people found to be best for selling such items? I have sold quite a lot of unwanted stuff on ebay before but I was wondering if the fees are any cheaper on amazon and if it is easy to use.

Any advice ALWAYS welcome.

  • When deciding which way to go I would recommend factoring in your time.

Amazon is so much quicker: postage fixed by Amazon, purchaser billed by Amazon, listing details supplied by them.

For more unusual items I have found you can get a higher price as well, partly because of the free and unlimited listing time (you need to renew the listing but they send an automatic reminder).

But the fees are higher than eBay when the item sells. Also you need to ship the item quickly. Amazon buyers are told expect a two working day service for dispatch, there is more flexibility on eBay.
