Is that the total budget including travel, food and spending money?
I think you'll struggle a bit to do two nights in a hotel if so. At the cheapest you're probably looking at £80 a night B&B or £120 half board.
To keep costs down, I'd go self-catering...0 -
Brighton, Selsey, Hastings, New Forest.
Borrow a tent and go camping, some beautiful spots around and you can get a pitch for around £9 per nightSealed Pot Challenge 5 #1440

My budget was including return train fare(2 people) and Hotel (Breakfast).0 -
I second Hastings as a suggestion - I had a lovely long weekend camping near there last summer. Camping might be difficult if you're going by train with a little one but you should be able to find a b&b.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0

Would it be worth investing in a Family and Friends Railcard? I bought my first one when my now 24 year old son was 6 weeks old, as rail travel was considerably cheaper if I paid the child fare for him, and got the adult discounts.0

Camber Sands? Bit out of the way though, as it's 3 miles from the nearest market town. Or alternatively, other places along the coast, Romney Sands, Dymchurch etc? You can easily get the train to Rye, and than catch the bus from the station, but if you are relying just on public transport, perhaps somewhere that is bigger is better for you, so Hastings is a fair suggestion. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0
