morning all, total novice to veg growing here.

am starting off small,i have tomato seedlings , radish plants, a red pepper and some dwarf beans. All seem ok, but now the beans are getting taller,do i support them?
they have canes in next them,do they find their own way or do i need to tie them?
i am so pleased i've managed to get anything growing i want to do my best for them!
thanks

ar the beans in individual pots or in the ground ?
if they are in the ground they usually support each other if i am correct as they are growing maybe a few twiggy sticks will help them if they look llike falling over ,

if they are in pots i would put them closer together so they can support one another
am sure they wil be fine

    enjoy:D

you could put a little fence of chicken wire around them if they are in a block outside. Or two lines of string or thin wire ,one on each side and just a support stick at the end if they are in a row.
They don't seem to grow much above 18" so don't get too floppy unless they are the climbing kind like blue lake.

They are dwarf beans, as in the title. OP - you don't need to support them if they are dwarf.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

You will certainly need to use slug pellets later on

But now that you've mentioned slug pellets.. is it really that bad to need them? (i've got some of these growing for 1st time.)

any advice on alternatives to pellets ?

I found the pellets are the only answer, as they are dwarf & are the beans are readily accessible for a slug / snail then they will be chomped

Even my runners,6 feet high, are sometimes chomped

You can try all the organic / green remedies you like, but TBH if you want beans then use pellets
