Cheap washing machine

After about 12 years my original cheap washing machine has died. Rather than spend money getting it fixed I thought I might look for a spin dryer as there's only one of me and I don't mind handwashing. However they seem to cost as much as a new washing machine. I've seen a couple of little camping machines on Amazon which get good reviews and wondered if anyone on here has used one? Theres a twin tub or a single tub one.

I would shell out for another machine (well, when I can afford it I would) but am planning on moving later this year and there might be one in the house I go to.

So really I'm looking for a temporary solution - are these little machines any good? And which one?

Thanks

Liz

Yes they are good but don't hold much. not sure how well they would stand up to regular use as they are meant for campers but may work as atemporary solution.
Otherwise what about a second hand washing machine shop or via ebay from a trusted seller? Pick up a second hand Bosch / Siemens etc for smallish money

Thanks - I'm always a bit wary of second-hand electrical goods, from the safety point of view, but probably unnecessarily paranoid! Will investigate your ebay suggestion in particular

    Thanks again

My 2nd hand machine is still going strong after 6 years. £130 from a local shop. But then again I live alone and thus it doesn't get the same wear & tear as one with a more people to service.

My area has several facebook selling groups, and the average asking price for second hand washing machines is in the region of £50 - bargain!

  • Yes, little washing machines are good and are very convenient to use. But I think, it is just ideal for people who lived in a small apartment and with a small number of family member since it can only handle little number of clothes.
