He is fine I think but I am sick of his moods lately. Anyway onwards and upwards. I have had a lovely day with the boys today.getting ds2 into a routine of going to bed early so that I have evenings to myself as he is weaning well now and doesn't need much food off me.
    Quite sad really !!

My friend had a baby boy this morning which was lovely news I have present in present store .

Disastrous weekly shop this week 47 pounds and I still need a top up.shop tomorrow. I stocked up on a few things and had to buy a present for a party we were at today. However we are on hol to a cottage week after next and I need to bulk buy nrxt week to make stuff to take with us.

Lovely kids party today and had got me thinking about how I can do a party for ds1 who will turn three in the summer. It's just flown!

I need to downgrade my sky package too, we had a half price offer but will go down to basic package once football season over.

Have a lovely holiday, I am looking for a cottage break so that we can get away over the Summer and recharge our batteries.

Had a truly wonderful holiday. We were on the beach paying everyday. It didn't rain oceans our cottage was lovely.we did eat out every day but mostly for lunches that were not that expensive.we had various ice creams and things but I quite enjoyed just letting go a little as we were all together and having a lovely time. We avoided the farm parks and things as we can do that here and instead focused on the beaches.
Oh away for a week so i am not getting much spare time but. Concious that I'd like to focus on. Getting the house and our money sorted out and working more efficiently. I will make a to do list and keep adding to it :

Get camping stuff sorted for cheap weekends away
    -get camping lantern
EBay pile of stuff and ds2 sleepingbags
Sort out paper and make log briquettes
    Collect logs
    Chop logs and get axe
    Update life insurance
    Do wills
    Cancel sky sports
    Renew library books

  • I collect logs when I am out walking but am rubbish at chopping them up. As our fireplace is tiny, I just have a big pile of oversized logs!
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Hi all, just a quick update from me.

Had a busy few weeks here. We had ds2 baptised last weekend and had lots if family over to visit .it all went very well I can't comment on the food as oh organised that at the golf club and said he 'got a deal'. I borrowed an outfit for him from a friend and we also got my mum to make cake it was lovely.

I have been struggling with the showers weather as ds1 is being very naughty at the moment and seems to have lost the ability to play independantly. I got him so big boxes to play with instead and he seemed to enjoy that. I still take them out to play groups etc everyday its just the times we are in where I would normally potter in the
    garden.
So my tutoring has really tailed off and I am down to one hour per week (normally 5 hours) this is the end of the exam period for my subject. I ave to be positive and think that I have worked really solidly for months and now I have a bit more time to do other less lucrative things.

    To do to up income:
    EBay anything not being used
    stery shopping check every day
Gardening veg patch and swapping with others

    To save
Being more inventive with store cupboard
Making more items instead of buying first item boys sun hat.

    Hi all,
My tutoring has really tailed off down to one per week until mid June and then nothing. I have done a mystery shop paying 25£ and have listed a lot of high value items on eBay so I should be ok for lat week and this coming week, I have set a target of earning over £75 per week.

I also need to do work on oh business which pays nothing but makes a big difference to his income.

We are currently up at mil s in Scotland and playing on the beach with grandparent etc its lovely for the children.

Kind of makes me think we should just stay in our own little house and do lots of visits to the seaside etc rather than moving getting a bigger mortgage just to be closer to the sea.

We are currently looking at getting a little buy to let near us as a kind of pension.
